As we are getting closer to the end of 2024, we would like to share with you the main milestones we’ve achieved this year and thank you for being part of our community.

Key Milestones and Achievements

Airpelago achieved important milestones in 2024 especially in terms of customer portfolio, new market expansion and proving scalability. Some of the most important achievements include:

  • 48.000 km inspected in 2024
  • Helped our customers to save 500,000 kg of CO2 emissions versus helicopter inspections
  • A new investment round of 20M SEK in February 2024
  • We are continuing our collaboration with 100% of our major customers in 2025
  • We expanded into new markets,by signing agreements with new customers such as E.ON Sweden, Tensio and Elvia in Norway, Energinet in Denmark, EG.D in the Czech Republic, and other customer in Finland, Germany, France, and the UK

Client Highlights

In 2024, Airpelago’s drone technology has improved efficiency and sustainability for important European TSOs and DSOs. Our autonomous drones are an optimised, safer, greener manner of inspecting power lines, and it was used by major operators such as:

Ellevio: Airpelago was contracted to inspect approximately 6,000 kilometers of overhead power lines annually across Ellevio’s grid using autonomous drones.

Energinet: Denmark’s national transmission system operator for electricity and gas partnered with Airpelago to conduct an inspection of 132kV assets using autonomous drones and the Airpelago Power software for project coordination and assessment of captured data.

Tensio: Airpelago secured a strategic tender with Tensio, marking its entry on the Norwegian market.

Elvia: Airpelago has won a significant tender from Elvia AS, Norway’s largest distribution system operator, to inspect approximately 11,000 km of power lines.

Team growth

Our team is the engine of everything we do and this year we are proud to have grown to 18 colleagues and 24 drone pilots. We welcomed 7 new professionals to help us scale operations across Europe:
