Airpelago AB won a major contract from Elvia AS to inspect 11,000 km of power lines, marking its expansion into Norway.
Airpelago AB has won a significant tender from Elvia AS, Norway’s largest distribution system operator, to inspect approximately 11,000 km of power lines. This contract represents a major milestone for Airpelago as it expands its operations into the Norwegian market.
Airpelago will perform two types of inspections: line inspections and detailed condition assessments of selected grid segments.
“We are thrilled to expand our operations into Norway and anticipate inspecting around 20,000 km by 2024. This achievement underscores our ability to scale our operations while maintaining the high-quality standards our customers expect,” said Max Hjalmarsson, CEO of Airpelago AB.
Roy Olsen, Maintenance Engineer at Elvia AS, commented on the partnership: “Airpelago presented a good track record in both Sweden and Norway, submitting the highest-scoring bid. They have provided the ideal balance between price and performance without compromising safety or quality.”
